Director of Fitness, Personal Trainer
Graham Matthews is a qualified
Executive Master Trainer with Certificate III in Fitness, Certificate IV in
Fitness, Certificate III in Business Development, Certificate IV in Business
(Small Business Management), Certificate in Applied Management, Diploma in
Policing, Diploma of Business, Certificate I in Strength and Conditioning and
is also National Academy of Specialised Sports Trainers qualified.
Graham has over 20 years’ experience
in policing in NZ, including many years at executive level. During this time
he represented his Regional Police in soccer and for many years was a NZ
National Police Soccer representative. For a number of years Graham represented
the NZ Combined Services in soccer.
Since leaving the Police and
moving to Australia in 2005 Graham has been employed as Chief Operating Officer
for a large property development company and subsequently as CEO and Board
Director for a publicly-listed security provider with international interests.
Graham then pursued a full time
career in the fitness industry, starting his own personal training business ‘Training Exclusive’. After over 3 years of success in personal training Graham launched the long
awaited Hope Island Resort Fitness Centre.

With a background in the fitness industry going back over 35 years, I know
what works and what doesn’t. With the right combination of weight training
and cardio you can look your best, and be fit and strong, at any age. Having
been an avid weight trainer all my adult life, and run 42 marathons in 16
different countries around the world, I’m ready to pass my knowledge onto
the members at Hope Island Resort Fitness Centre and help you achieve the
results you’re looking for!

Having been focussed on my own
